Job Summary
Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting status changes. Perform procedures, monitor patient response to medications, and intervene promptly for unintended reactions. Document care administration thoroughly and teach patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatments, and side effects. Collaborate with experienced preceptors on evidence-based practice projects and attend monthly educational sessions. This paid residency program provides advanced clinical training and hands-on simulations to support your transition from classroom to hospital settings. Some travel may be needed for training.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
- Other Certifications maybe required during employment
- associate or bachelor's degree in nursing
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State of Texas
- prior experience as an LVN, RN (LTAC, HOME HEALTH, ETC)
- acute care experience
Desired Qualifications
- Some travel maybe needed for training
