Job Summary
Conduct medical-surgical nursing care for adult patients across diverse specialties including neurology, orthopedics, general surgery, oncology, and telemetry. Perform patient assessments, prioritize care, and apply critical thinking to manage acute medical conditions, surgical patients, and those with cardiac or gastrointestinal concerns. Receive hands-on clinical training and one-on-one preceptor mentoring within an 8–16 week residency program supported by nurse educators. Requires active Missouri RN license, BLS certification within 30 days, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Full-time or part-time schedules available with sign-on bonuses for new graduates and experienced nurses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Nursing Diploma
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact state licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, squat, and assist patients safely
- Full-Time – 36 hrs/week
- Part-Time – 24 hrs/week
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Location: Mercy Hospital South – St. Louis, MO (Onsite)
