Job Summary
RN Residency program at HCA HealthONE Aurora is a year-long paid residency designed to transition new graduates from student nurse to licensed RN, featuring advanced clinical training in specialty areas (neuro trauma, oncology, cardiac care, PCCU, etc.), monthly educational sessions, preceptorship with a facility preceptor, hands-on simulations, mentoring from experienced nurse leaders, and an evidence-based practice project. Responsibilities include patient condition assessment at admission and during shifts, procedures and medication administration, timely documentation, responding to patient needs, and patient/family education about conditions, treatment plans and medications. Required qualifications include BLS and ACLS within specified timeframes, an RN license or Graduate Nurse status in the state, and an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; some travel may be needed for training. Location noted: Aurora, CO.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
- No previous experience needed
- Some travel maybe needed for training
