Job Summary
RN Residency program at HCA Florida Lake City Hospital provides a structured, paid year-long transition from student nurse to registered nurse, with hands-on clinical training, monthly education sessions, preceptorship, mentorship from nurse leaders, and evidence-based project collaboration. Responsibilities include assessing patients at admission and each shift, administering medications, documenting care, responding to patient needs, teaching patients and families, and collaborating with the care team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Qualifications include BLS, ACLS within 1 year, Florida RN license (or multistate with 60-day license upgrade), and an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Travel may be needed for training; program aims to support career growth within the nursing field.
Required Qualifications
- BLS-AHA Provider issued card required within 30 days of start
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
- Other Certifications maybe required during employment
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation
- No previous experience needed
- Some travel maybe needed for training
