Job Summary
New Grad RN Residency program at HCA Florida Capital Hospital offers a year-long, hands-on transition from student nurse to registered nurse with structured learning experiences, including advanced clinical training, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship, mentoring from nurse leaders, and an evidence-based project. Responsibilities include assessing patient condition during admissions and shifts, performing procedures and medication administration, documenting care, teaching patients and families, and advocating for patients to ensure an exceptional patient experience. Cohort start dates listed with specialties such as Med/Surg, Orthopedics, Oncology, Tele/Neuro, IMCU, ICU, and ER; opportunities for collaboration with care teams and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
- Other Certifications may be required during employment
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
- No previous experience needed
- Some travel may be needed for training
