Job Summary
New Grad RN - Orthopedics in Mission Hospital, part of the HCA Nurse Residency Program. A year-long paid residency that provides hands-on clinical training, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship, and mentoring to transition from student nurse to registered nurse. Responsibilities include assessing patient condition on admission and each shift, performing procedures and medications administration, documenting in the medical record, monitoring therapeutic responses, and teaching patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up care. Requires BLS within 30 days and ACLS within 1 year, plus RN licensure in the state and an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
