Job Summary
Provide compassionate direct patient care under the guidance of experienced nursing staff, administering medications and maintaining accurate documentation. Monitor and assess patients' physical and emotional well-being, promptly reporting changes to healthcare professionals while assisting in developing individualized care plans. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and therapists to achieve optimal outcomes, educate patients and families on health conditions and self-care techniques, and ensure adherence to infection control protocols. Utilize critical thinking to address emergent situations, participate in ongoing educational opportunities, and uphold professional standards and confidentiality in all interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid/Active Registered Nurse license (must be obtained prior to start date)
- Successful completion of an accredited nursing program, resulting in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), or Diploma Nursing Program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (unit dependent)
- RN Diploma/RN Graduate Program
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer applications
- Compliance with HIPPA standards

- Additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
