Job Summary
The RN Resident coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the department’s requirements and standards. The program is a year-long Nurse Residency designed to transition a nursing student to a practicing registered nurse, featuring advanced clinical training in specialties (Medical Acute Care, Medical Telemetry, Surgical Specialty), monthly educational sessions, preceptorship with a facility preceptor, hands-on simulations, mentoring from nurse leaders, and an evidence-based practice project. Responsibilities include assessing patient condition on admission and during shifts, performing procedures and medication administration, documenting care, responding to patient needs, and teaching patients, families and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures. Qualifications emphasize BLS/ACLS, nursing degree, and RN licensure, with entry-level experience and potential travel for training. The program is offered by HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge in the Denver-metro area, with relocation and sign-on bonuses available for eligible candidates.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
- No previous experience needed
- Some travel maybe needed for training
