Job Summary
New Grad RN in the HCA Nurse Residency Program at HCA Florida Capital Hospital, a year-long program designed to ease the transition from student nurse to registered nurse. The RN Resident coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in the department, and collaborates with medical providers and care team. The role includes assessing patient condition at admission and each shift, performing procedures and medication administration, documenting care, responding to patient needs, and teaching patients and families about conditions and follow-up measures. The program includes advanced clinical training in a specialty area, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship training, hands-on simulations, mentoring from experienced nurse leaders, and an evidence-based practice project. Cohort start dates span 2/16/2026, 5/2026, and 7/2026 across specialties (Med/Surg, Orthopedics, Oncology, Tele/Neuro, IMCU, ICU, ER with limited occupancy). Required Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
- Other Certifications maybe required during employment
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
- No previous experience needed
- Some travel maybe needed for training
