Job Summary
Research and collect raw data, then organize, analyze, and review findings for use in planning projects. Perform project analysis using technical guidance and software, while assisting with map development, exhibit creation, and presentation material preparation. Conduct research on issues, policies, and concepts to support urban and transportation planning alternatives. Prepare plans, studies, reports, and environmental documents, and assist in stakeholder and public participation processes. Maintain project records and files, and compile census and land use data with direction from experienced staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, or related field
- Understands GIS software
- Microsoft Office Suite
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Urban Planning or related field
- Previous work experience in planning through an internship or prior employment
