Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic imaging exams using specialized equipment while verifying orders, ensuring patient identification, and adhering to radiation safety and infection control protocols. Review images for quality and accuracy, document procedures and adverse reactions, and operate imaging systems to ensure optimal image quality. Collaborate with radiologists and care teams to deliver high-quality imaging, provide patient education and comfort, and assist students or colleagues in exam procedures and positioning. Maintain a clean environment and follow medical necessity, coding, and quality control protocols. Complete studies within acceptable timeframes without compromising care.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification
- Current Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Knowledge of anatomy
- Image evaluation and quality assurance
- Equipment operation
- Contrast administration protocols
- Emergency response
- Ability to work independently

Desired Qualifications
- May be required to complete the Medical Assistant (MA) Competency Checklist and perform MA functions in a clinic or InstaCare setting
