Job Summary
Perform diagnostic imaging exams using specialized equipment to assist in patient diagnosis and care while collaborating with radiologists and physicians. Verify orders, prepare patients, and review images for quality and accuracy. Maintain ARRT certification, adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards, and operate imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality. Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and document procedures accurately. Assist students and colleagues in exam procedures and equipment use. Complete studies within acceptable timeframes without compromising care. This role offers flexible PRN scheduling for new graduates eager to build clinical experience in a supportive, team-based environment at Lutheran Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT certification
- Current Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Knowledge of anatomy
- Image evaluation and quality assurance
- Equipment operation
