Job Summary
As a New Grad Registered Nurse (RN) in the Nurse Residency Program at HCA Florida Lake City Hospital, you will participate in a year-long program designed to develop hands-on clinical and critical-thinking skills through advanced clinical training, monthly educational sessions, preceptorship, and evidence-based practice projects. You will assess patients at admission and throughout shifts, perform procedures and medication administration, document care, and educate patients and families. The role emphasizes mentorship from experienced nurse leaders and collaborative practice to support the transition from student nurse to registered nurse, with specialties available in Medical Surgical, Progressive Care/Step-Down, ICU, and Emergency Services, and cohort start dates 6/29/2026, 7/13/2026, and 8/10/2026. Requirements include BLS within 30 days, ACLS within 1 year, an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and Florida RN license or approved multistate license (with compact-license holders obtaining Florida license within 60 days of relocation). Some travel for training is possible.
Required Qualifications
- BLS-AHA Provider card required within 30 days of start
- ACLS obtained within 1 year of employment
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation
- No previous experience needed
