New Grad Registered Nurse (RN)

RN Residency Program at HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital functions to transition student nurses to practicing RNs through a year-long experience featuring hands-on clinical training, monthly education sessions, preceptorship, and mentorship. In the RN Resident role you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across departments (Med/Surg, Ortho, Oncology, Rehab, PCU, ICU, ED) using established nursing models, assist with admissions assessments, document care, administer medications and monitor patient responses, respond to patient needs promptly, and educate patients, families and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures. Qualifications include BLS within 30 days, ACLS within 1 year, RN license or graduate nurse in the state, and an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing; no prior experience required; some travel for training.
