Job Summary
NEW GRAD Registered Nurse (RN) – Full-Time Nights in Omaha, NE. The RN provides and oversees medical services for a caseload of patients in an adult inpatient behavioral health setting, coordinates treatment plans and discharge plans with a multidisciplinary team, administers medications, utilizes de-escalation techniques for safety, conducts admissions and discharges, monitors vital signs, maintains documentation, and participates in quality assurance and compliance activities. Candidates must hold an active RN license in the state, be at least 21, and have CPR/First Aid/AED certification; knowledge of EMR systems (KIPU preferred) and strong interpersonal skills are essential. The role requires night shift (3x12s, 6pm-6:30am) with rotating weekends/holidays, and offers a shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state where services are rendered
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
- Current and nationally accredited CPR/First Aid/AED certification
- Knowledge of computer and electronic medical records systems (KIPU preferred)
- Enthusiasm, passion for working with people, and an internal drive to improve the lives of individuals in our care
- Must maintain applicable state licensure requirements throughout duration of employment
- Ability to work with a diverse population along with interpersonal skills and knowledge required for treating patients in area of assigned specialty
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of ethical standards of licensure governing boards
