Job Summary
Begin your nursing career in a year-long RN residency program designed to develop hands-on clinical and critical thinking skills. As a Resident I Graduate Nurse you’ll be supported by nurse educators, experienced staff, and fellow residents, transitioning from student nurse to registered nurse. Responsibilities include assessing patient condition on admission and each shift, performing procedures and administering medications, documenting care, and educating patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up care. The program emphasizes advanced clinical training, preceptorship, mentoring, and evidence-based practice projects, with ongoing education sessions and opportunities to engage with the care team to ensure high-quality patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
Desired Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of employment
- Other Certifications may be required during employment
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
- No previous experience needed
- Some travel may be needed for training
