Job Summary

Conduct health assessments, physical exams, and review medical histories to address short- and long-term patient needs. Administer or order diagnostic tests and interpret results, while performing therapeutic procedures such as injections, sutures, and wound management. Empower patients with knowledge regarding therapeutic regimens, wellness, and family planning through counseling. Prepare accurate medical records in the EMR and maintain a safe environment adhering to infection-control and legal compliance protocols. Collaborate with providers to coordinate timely patient dispositions. Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education and workshops.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • certification by Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) certifying body
  • DEA license with no restrictions
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
  • Master's degree and certification by Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) certifying body
  • Must have and maintain a DEA license with no restrictions
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and clinical management systems (EMR)
  • Strong knowledge of: Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Strong knowledge of: Applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations including the requirements of the HIPAA and OSHA and applicable state rules and regulations pertinent to medical practices
  • Strong knowledge of: Relevant drugs and their chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo
  • Strong knowledge of: Non-pharmaceutical patient care aids, their applicable uses, and relevance to patient care
  • Strong knowledge of: Current principles, methods, and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment

Desired Qualifications

  • Relevant experience: Clinical experience gained through rotations or other settings in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care is preferred
