The VEG New ER Doctor (NERD) Program trains practicing veterinarians in emergency medicine over a six-month immersive mentorship experience, leading to potential full-time roles at VEG.
Required Qualifications
- Valid DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree
- 1+ years practicing veterinarian experience
- Valid license to practice veterinary medicine
- Valid DEA registration
- Ability to stand for prolonged hours and lift up to 25 kg
- Willingness to work in a noisy environment with strong odors
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to commit to a six-month schedule
