Job Summary
Site Specialist to support two elementary schools in Boston and Lawrence, leading Playworks programming to foster healthy play, school culture, and student belonging. Responsibilities include planning and implementing recess and classroom-based play sessions, leading a Junior Coach Leadership Program, coordinating with school staff and families, maintaining schedules and evaluations, representing the Playworks brand professionally, and supporting regional program delivery and fundraising efforts. Requires strong organizational and communication skills, experience with youth, ability to collaborate with adults, proficiency with Office and Google tools, and willingness to travel between sites; remote-work flexibility may be available. Seasonal, full-time, non-exempt position starting in August, with 40 hours per week at $23.75-$26.59 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of experience working directly with groups of children
- Experience facilitating trainings for adults
- Strong organizational skills in planning and delivering program components
- Knowledge of youth development principles and practices
- Experience coordinating with school administration and families
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Drive, and virtual meeting platforms (Google Meet, Zoom)
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environments
- Ability to work from home if needed
- Ability to travel to multiple locations as part of role
