• •Must be able to communicate changes in suite/room status with the Front Desk and Housekeeping
• •Must be able to answer guest questions regarding hotels and local area facilities and services
• •Must be able to ensure all standards are adhered to at all times
• •Must be able to comply with hotel policies and procedures
• •Must be able to perform any reasonable request by management that you are capable of performing
• •Must be able to conduct walk-throughs and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structure(s) of the hotel, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and any other related equipment
• •Must be able to verify completion of all routine maintenance on public spaces, meeting rooms, ballrooms, outlets, back of the house spaces, and grounds
• •Must be able to verify completion of all repairs, replacement, and renovation projects to offices and employee work areas
• •Must be able to assist in hiring, training, supervising, and disciplining department staff and all other staff under direction of the Engineering Department, such as painters, upholsterers, and groundskeepers
• •Must be able to adhere to all corporate-required purchasing policies and controls, including, but not limited to, all outside contractor bids, budgets, and schedules
• •Must be able to follow prescribed safety procedures for personnel and equipment by the company and OSHA
• •Must be able to maintain effective Energy Management and Preventive Maintenance programs
• •Must be able to conduct special training for other operating departments on the safe and efficient use of equipment and energy in the hotel
• •Must be able to inform the supervisor on a regular basis regarding the specific and overall condition of the building structure(s), related systems, and equipment offering prudent, cost effective proposals for maintaining these systems
• •Must be able to access and input information into a computer and generate reports
• •Must be able to repair HVAC as required
• •Must be able to clean HVAC coils semi-annually or as required
• •Must be able to repair appliances as required
• •Must be able to ensure implementation and compliance of brand standard key control policies and procedures are adhered to
• •Must be able to check Smoke Alarms throughout hotels on a scheduled basis according to brand standards
• •Must be able to coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest special requests
• •Must be able to assist the General Manager in resolving guest concerns
• •Must be able to educate and lead all department personnel on emergency procedures, key control, safety, and life safety precautions
