New Construction Data Center – Commissioning Owners Representative

Job Summary
Lead on-site commissioning oversight for a 25+ MW data center project as the Commissioning Owners Representative. Witness and QA/QC electrical, mechanical, and controls systems commissioning; develop and review commissioning plans, specifications, SOPs and MOPs; compile site-specific Systems Manuals for end-user operations; participate in owner/GC/subcontractor meetings; review SOPs/MOPs and testing scripts, provide input on test results and acceptance; evaluate vendor training programs; deliver detailed weekly reports to the end-user; travel 10-20% and be based onsite full-time in Amarillo, TX (with additional travel to other US/intl sites). Required: 7+ years in mechanical/electrical engineering with 5+ years in commissioning/QA/QC for data centers; strong knowledge of ASHRAE commissioning guidelines; experience with MV/LV transformers, UPS, generators, switchgear, CDUs, CRACs/CRAHs, AHUs, BMS/BAS/EPMS; proficiency with QA/QC tools (BIM360, CxAlloy, Facility Grid) and MS Office; ability to develop/implement commissioning plans and project documentation. Preferred: ABET-engineering/technology degree or equivalent experience; PE or PMP; on-site availability in Amarillo; travel capability; U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship offered.
Required Qualifications
- Documented and verifiable experience acting as Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Controls 3rd party Senior level Commissioning Engineer on greenfield data center projects with capacities of 25+MW
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant mechanical or electrical engineering and/or field-testing experience with at least 5 years in commissioning/QA/QC for data center construction
- Strong proficiency with commissioning processes, QA/QC deliverables, and ASHRAE commissioning guidelines
- Experience in testing and commissioning of MV and LV Transformers, UPS, Generators, Paralleling Switchgear, ATSs and STSs, Fuel Oil systems, PDUs, EPMS, and HVAC equipment (Chillers, CDUs, CRACs/CRAHs, AHUs)
- Proficiency with QA/QC and Cx software (BIM360, CxAlloy, Facility Grid) and MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Ability to travel 10-20% domestically and internationally; onsite full-time in Amarillo, TX
- Ability to develop and review Commissioning Plans, Specifications, design drawings, submittals; participate in commissioning meetings
- Experience developing and compiling site-specific Systems Manuals for end-user operations
- Capacity to witness, review, and comment on SOPs/MOPs and testing scripts; provide end-user input on test results and issues
- ABET-accredited engineering/technology degree or equivalent industry experience (preferred)
- PE or PMP designation (preferred)
- U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship not offered

- Excellent written and verbal communication; MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel skills
- Willingness to be based onsite full-time in Amarillo, TX and travel 10-20% domestically/internationally for offsite testing/training
- Knowledge of ASHRAE commissioning requirements and guidelines
- Experience with MV/LV transformers, UPS, generators, switchgear, CDUs, CRACs/CRAHs, AHUs, BMS/BAS/EPMS
- Ability to develop and review commissioning plans, SOPs/MOPs, and project documentation
- Experience compiling Systems Manuals for end-user operations
- Ability to analyze contractor schedules and prepare weekly commissioning status reports
- Strong data-management skills and experience with engineering documentation workflows
