Job Summary
New Business Manager role focused in Chicago, responsible for sourcing and developing profitable new business that can be transitioned to a Territory Manager. Drives minimum $2M in new business in the first year with $6M annually in subsequent years, opens high-potential accounts, builds a business plan to penetrate market share, researches customer requirements, analyzes trends, and coordinates onboarding and AR with internal teams. Requires strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to work autonomously, and experience in food sales/distribution. Travel as needed to meet targets and attend events; collaborates with Category/Segment Specialists to craft compelling offerings and lead generation.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3 years sales experience
- minimum of 3 years of experience opening accounts greater than $0.5m
- overnight travel may be required
