Job Summary
New Business Manager responsible for sourcing and developing profitable new business that can be transitioned to a Territory Manager. Pursues high-potential growth opportunities and develops market share within the Chicago Suburbs. Build and maintain a pipeline of new accounts, develop sound business plans, and utilize KPIs to optimize opening high-potential accounts, sales dollars, and gross profit. Travel may be required for trainings, meetings, or events. Collaborate with Category and Segment Specialists to create compelling offerings, coordinate onboarding with coordinating teams, and manage relationships with key decision makers to achieve annual sales targets (minimum $2M first year, $6M annually thereafter). At least 3 years of sales experience, preferably in foodservice or food distribution, with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Education includes High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. This role involves promoting growth across the division’s footprint and transitioning successful new accounts to Territory Managers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years sales experience
- Minimum $2 million in first year opened accounts
- Minimum $0.5m annual account potential
- Overnight travel may be required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
