Job Summary
New Business Account Handler responsible for managing new business opportunities within the corporate and commercial insurance space. The role involves building strong client and insurer relationships, collaborating with underwriters to place insurance that balances quality, coverage and price, producing high-quality market documentation, and supporting renewals and mid-term adjustments. Candidates should be proactive, with a proven track record in insurance sales, strong literacy and numeracy skills, experience with Acturis and MS Office, and a commitment to achieving team targets. The position is based in Howden’s Colchester or Burnham-on-Crouch offices, is full-time, permanent, and offers hybrid working with two days in the office per week.
Required Qualifications
- GCSE Maths & English
- 18+ months experience in general insurance
- 18+ months sales experience
