Job Summary
New Business Account Handler in Howden's Schemes division overseeing renovation-insurance for residential and commercial property. Responsible for managing new business opportunities, building client and insurer relationships, producing high-quality market documentation, coordinating with underwriters to place insurance, and ensuring accurate information for quoting and client records. Role requires proactive sales orientation, target achievement, and collaboration with colleagues; involves office-based work with hybrid arrangements (2 days in the office). Skills sought include insurance knowledge, client handling, documentation accuracy, and familiarity with Acturis and MS Office; qualifications include GCSEs, A-levels (desirable), and Cert CII (desirable).
Required Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English
- A levels (desirable)
- Cert CII and above (desirable)
- Minimum 18 months experience in general knowledge of insurance
- Minimum 18 months sales experience
- Knowledge of Acturis system is desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
