Job Summary
Provide prompt, courteous, and accurate customer service while assisting clients with deposit account products and banking inquiries. Explain account services to prospective customers and prepare applications, signature cards, check orders, transfers, and service charges. Recognize opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services to meet company goals. Monitor lobby overflow, fill in as a teller when schedules permit, and educate customers on procedures for business accounts, CDs, IRAs, and safe deposit boxes. Drive deposit growth through customer calls and community event involvement. Maintain a secure work area for negotiables and confidential records, cross-train to cover other areas as needed, and participate in available training to strengthen job knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6-12 months experience prior teller/banking experience
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to sit, bend, squat, twist and lift/carry coin bags weighing up to 50 lbs
