Job Summary
Process teller transactions, manage check orders, and handle cash disbursements while verifying signatures and authentication. Open, maintain, and close various account types including savings, checking, IRAs, and CDs by providing disclosures, conducting customer interviews, and entering accurate data. Build relationships through follow-up, cross-sell products, and admit customers to safe deposit vaults. Adhere to regulatory requirements and obtain necessary clearances for all account activities. This role supports the Retail Banking Group in Tracy, CA, focusing on seamless account management and exceptional customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- at least one year of experience in a financial institution, customer service, sales, or operations role
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers, both verbally and in writing
- ability to apply common sense and judgment when handling non‐routine situations or customer issues
- Working knowledge of banking operations and policies
- basic math skills including the ability to calculate interest, balance accounts, and accurately count cash and negotiable instruments
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience opening consumer deposit accounts (e.g., checking, savings, IRAs, CDs)
