Job Summary
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients with neurological disorders including epilepsy, developmental delays, cerebral palsy, and autism spectrum disorders. Interpret diagnostic studies such as EEGs, EMGs, MRI, and CT scans to develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress. Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions like transcranial magnetic stimulation while collaborating with specialists for coordinated care. Maintain accurate medical documentation in the EHR, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and provide on-call coverage as assigned. Stay current with advances in pediatric neurology through continuing medical education.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Neurology
- DEA registration and eligibility to prescribe controlled substances.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
Desired Qualifications
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Fellowship training in epilepsy, neurodevelopmental disabilities, or physical medicine.
- Experience with EEG interpretation and epilepsy management.
- Experience with inpatient and outpatient pediatric neurology care.
- Research, teaching, or clinical trial experience is a plus.
