Job Summary

Mechanical technician role for Rocket Lab's Neutron program: interpret engineering drawings, determine build strategies for large-scale assemblies, fabricate tooling/fixtures with manual machining, drill/rivet structural components, and travel to US facilities for integration and testing. Candidate will work autonomously on challenging mechanical systems, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to cutting-edge rocket development, with emphasis on hands-on fabrication, assembly, and tooling creation to support launch-site readiness.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical assembly background (nuts/bolts fundamentals)
  • Proven hands-on technical skills in mechanical systems
  • Ability to work autonomously and think critically through build challenges

Additional Requirements

  • US citizens, lawful permanent residents, or individuals eligible to obtain ITAR authorizations for work in US offices (export regulations)
