Job Summary
Inpatient Neurosurgery Physician Assistant at Jersey Shore University Medical Center supports neurosurgeons in both the outpatient and inpatient settings with a strong focus on surgical cases. Responsibilities include taking patient histories and physicals, ordering/interpreting diagnostic studies, managing conditions, prescribing medications, participating in interdisciplinary rounds, mentoring staff and students, applying evidence-based medicine to improve patient outcomes, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. Requires completion of an AMA-accredited PA program, PA license, NCCPA certification, and BLS; strong communication and computer skills; weekend/holiday coverage. This position is full-time and located in Neptune, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program
- Physician Assistant License
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office/Google Suite)
