Job Summary
Inpatient Neurosurgery Physician Assistant role supporting neurosurgeons in outpatient and inpatient settings with a strong focus on surgical cases; requires completion of an accredited PA program, PA license, NCCPA certification, BLS; responsibilities include taking histories and physicals, ordering/interpreting diagnostics, managing conditions, prescribing medications, participating in rounds, promoting evidence-based care, mentoring staff/students, and contributing to quality improvement; must have excellent communication skills and proficiency with MS Office/Google Suite; weekends/holidays required; compensation starts at $156,603.20/year; full benefits described.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program, accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education
- Physician Assistant License
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms
