Job Summary
Inpatient Neurosurgery Physician Assistant to support Neurosurgeons in both outpatient and inpatient settings with a strong focus on surgical cases; responsibilities include taking patient histories and physicals, ordering/interpreting diagnostic studies, managing conditions, prescribing medications, participating in interdisciplinary rounds, mentoring staff/students, applying evidence-based medicine to improve patient outcomes, and contributing to quality improvement; must have completed an approved PA program, hold PA licensure, NCCPA certification, BLS, and strong communication and computer skills; weekends and holidays required; full-time role at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program
- Physician Assistant License
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms
