Job Summary
Inpatient Neurosurgery Physician Assistant to support neurosurgeons in both outpatient and inpatient settings with a strong focus on surgical cases. Responsibilities include taking patient histories and physicals, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, managing conditions, and prescribing medications; participate in interdisciplinary rounds to ensure coordinated patient-centered care; apply evidence-based medicine, mentor staff and students, and participate in quality improvement initiatives; ensure accurate clinical documentation and adherence to Hackensack Meridian Health policies. Weekend and holiday coverage required.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program, accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education.
- Physician Assistant License.
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
- BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
