Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive inpatient neurosurgery care by performing complete history and physicals, ordering diagnostic tests, and formulating differential diagnoses. Manage complex acute and chronic conditions through evidence-based plans of care, including prescribing therapeutic interventions and performing advanced procedures. Serve as the first responder for nursing and house staff during patient status changes, resuscitative interventions, and procedural needs. Maintain timely documentation of progress notes, discharge summaries, and transfer orders while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team and patient families. Engage in preceptorship, research, and Advanced Practice Grand Rounds to support graduate students and advance specialty knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- National Board Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- BLS certification
- Work Shift Rotating (United States of America)
- Worker Sub Type Regular Employee
