Job Summary
Neuroscientist with strong in vivo electrophysiology expertise sought to perform in vivo electrical recordings using implanted intracranial electrodes in mice and rats. Primary rodent models with plans to expand to large animals. Experience with LFP and action potential recordings essential; familiarity with patch clamp, fiber photometry, two-photon calcium imaging, and optogenetics highly valued. Additional experience in non-invasive imaging (fMRI, DTI, PET, MEG) considered a plus. Applicants should have a solid neuroscience foundation with understanding of neural circuits. Include a separate Skills section in your CV detailing in vivo, in vitro, and other relevant competencies.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in neuroscience, biology, bioengineering or relevant field
- Experience with mouse/rats surgery, stereotactic injections and implanting electrodes
- Experience in electrical recording (LFP, action potential) from mice/rats’ brain/spinal cord with electrodes
- Experience with testing animal behavior
- Experience with data analysis
