Job Summary
Neuropsychologist to provide temporary full-time or part-time services in the Neuropsychology Clinic at Krembil Brain Institute (KBI), Toronto Western Hospital. Responsibilities include conducting evidence-based neuropsychological assessments of adults and older adults with complex neurological conditions, providing cognitive diagnostic and prognostic opinions to support clinical decision-making, preparing comprehensive reports, supervising psychometrists and psychology trainees, and participating in team activities. Requires doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology (CPA- or APA-accredited preferred), registration or eligibility for CPBAO, and at least one year of post-doctoral neuropsychological assessment experience. Strong report writing, independent work ability, and collaboration skills are essential; experience with learners and psychometrists and with electronic medical records are assets. The role supports diagnostic neuropsychology services across KBI programs with supervision in an assessment model; hours are 37.5 per week, temporary full-time, based at Toronto Western Hospital, with a salary range CAD 59.06–73.82 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO) with Clinical Neuropsychology declared as an area of competency for adults and older adults
- Minimum one year of relevant experience following completion of doctoral training in neuropsychological assessment; experience with neurological populations and/or in a hospital-based neuropsychology service is preferred
- Demonstrated competence in integrating functional neuroanatomy and relevant linguistic, cultural, educational, and other background factors in case formulation
- Strong skills in report writing and communication of results and recommendations to patients, families, referring physicians, and interprofessional colleagues
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with demonstrated ability to produce high-quality work while meeting clinical timelines
- Experience supervising psychology learners and psychometrists is an asset
- Experience with electronic patient record systems is an asset
