Job Summary
The University of Minnesota's Department of Neurology is hiring a full-time Neuromuscular Neurologist with subspecialty interest in ALS. This position encompasses leading neuromuscular clinical research, providing outpatient neuromuscular services, including an ALS multidisciplinary clinic and general neuromuscular services. Candidates must have completed an accredited Neurology residency and a Neuromuscular Fellowship, be licensed to practice in Minnesota, and possess excellent teaching skills. Responsibilities include supervising medical trainees and collaborating on clinical trials and research.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Neurology residency training program
- Board Certified or Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association
- Completion of a Neuromuscular Fellowship Program
- Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure
- Ability to obtain and / or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
- Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
- Excellent teaching and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in neuromuscular research
- Funded research background
- MD PhD or MD MPH preferred
