Job Summary
The Neurology Technician is responsible for the provision of EEG testing for both inpatient and outpatient populations, presenting completed exams for interpretation by physicians, and performing clerical duties to support these services.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate/GED required
- Technical knowledge gained through successful completion of an EEG training program or through documented comparable experience in a medical facility
- Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment
Desired Qualifications
- Registered through the American Board of Registered EEG Technologists (ABRET) or registry eligible
- Previous neurological testing experience (EEG, NCV, EMG)
- Proficiency in the principles of human anatomy, electrical stimulus and medical terminology
