Job Summary
Neurology - Neuromuscular Faculty Physician at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. The role is a 100% outpatient faculty position with inpatient coverage by Neurohospitalists, focused on nerve and muscle disease expertise, teaching medical students, neurology residents, and neurophysiology fellows, opportunities for neuromuscular clinical trial involvement, collaboration with senior investigators, and a potential for tenure-track academic rank. The program is fully supported by interdisciplinary teams, with strong resources including an EMG lab, advanced diagnostics, and a robust research environment; relocation assistance is offered and the package includes pension options and PSLF-qualified employer status. Very limited call (1-2 nights per month) and 10-20% unassigned time are provided, with opportunities for mentorship and involvement across MUSC and affiliated centers.
Required Qualifications
- Board certification or eligibility in Neurology and Neuromuscular diseases, and EMG and/or Clinical Neurophysiology
- Academic orientation and enthusiasm for teaching
