Job Summary
Diagnose and manage a broad range of neurological conditions in outpatient settings, including headaches, epilepsy, stroke follow-up, neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, and movement disorders. Conduct neurological examinations, develop individualized treatment plans, and order/interpret diagnostic studies such as MRI, CT scans, EEG, and EMG. Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists for coordinated care while providing patient education and long-term disease management. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record and participate in quality improvement initiatives. This role offers a predictable Monday–Friday schedule with no inpatient responsibilities for board-certified or board-eligible general neurologists. The organization serves over 460,000 residents through a comprehensive network including a 420-bed regional referral hub and advanced stroke and trauma centers.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a Neurology residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
- Eligible for or holding an active Alabama medical license
