Job Summary

Conduct initial evaluations, review patient history and imaging, and assist with counseling and treatment planning in direct collaboration with neurointerventional physicians. Manage inpatient rounding on post-operative patients and lead outpatient clinics comprising independent and shared patient visits. Dedicate time to documentation, care coordination, and task follow-up within a Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm schedule. Work as part of a team of two neuroendovascular surgeons at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, a CMS 5-Star Stroke Center recognized for patient safety and excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • Current NCCPA Certification
  • Active or eligible for licensure by the State of Florida
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Advanced degree from an accredited school or college of nursing
  • Master's Degree in nursing
  • Registered Professional Nurse who is authorized by Florida to practice in accordance with state law
  • APRN board certification
  • APRN certified by a recognized national certifying body having established standards for APRN's

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Knowledge of state, federal and local health care agencies and programs
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with physicians and other allied health personnel in the hospital and/or office setting
  • Demonstrated clinical competency skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacology as it relates to health care practice and current prescription writing skills/DEA licensing
  • Demonstrated skills in documentation in medical records to substantiate accurate billing
  • Demonstrated written & verbal communication & strong analytical skills
  • Effective interaction skills to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting
  • Effective leadership and strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of relevant state and federal laws, statutes and regulations
