Job Summary
Perform EEGs and other neurodiagnostic procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and physician orders; monitor recording quality and artifacts, and conduct testing on critically ill patients in ICU/monitored care units. Prepare patients and equipment, ensure patient comfort and safety, document procedures and findings in the EHR, and maintain neurodiagnostic equipment and testing areas in compliance with safety and infection-prevention standards. Works across inpatient and outpatient care areas under neurodiagnostic leadership to support accurate diagnosis and high-quality neurological care.
Required Qualifications
- Registration or eligible for registration in EEG or EP by ABRET is highly recommended
- Basic Life Support (CPR) required within 30 days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited END technology program or equivalent formal training is highly recommended
- 6 months of experience in EEG or neurodiagnostic testing
- PC experience required
