Job Summary
Neurodiagnostic Technologist responsibilities include performing intraoperative monitoring, evoked potentials, nerve conduction, and/or EEG testing across patient populations. Must understand testing equipment, indications for use, physiological effects on patients, and basic maintenance. Requires working knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, electronics, EEG/EP instrumentation, pattern recognition, and related medical conditions. Completion of an approved training program is required. Credentials such as REEGT, REPT, CNCT, or R.NCS.T are required, with BLS certification within six weeks of employment and ongoing recertification as needed. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Graduated from an approved program of Electroneurodiagnostic Technology (ENDT) or similar education is preferred
- Working knowledge of neuroanatomy, physiology, basic electronics and electrical safety, general knowledge of EEG and EP instrumentation, pattern recognition, and various medical and pharmacological conditions is required
- Completion of department approved training program is required
- Required credentials of one or more of the following: REEGT, REPT, CNCT, or R.NCS.T
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required
