Job Summary
The Neurodiagnostic Technologist I will monitor and record neurodiagnostic data, verify electrode integrity, and communicate patient status changes with physicians and nurses. Responsibilities include effectively conveying pertinent clinical data to the physician team and leadership, supporting team collaboration, and contributing to the advancement of care through new ideas and technology. The role requires the ability to work with pediatric patients, demonstrate strong communication, and uphold CHOC’s mission of high-quality pediatric care in a hospital/clinic setting. Work is at CHOC locations in Mission Viejo and Orange, CA, on a part-time schedule, with required BLS and progression toward Registered EEG Technologist within 1 year of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Program
- BLS; Board eligible to take Registered EEG Technologist; Registered EEG Tech must be obtained within one year of hire date
Desired Qualifications
- One year of pediatric health care experience
- Associate degree (preferred)
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
- Registered EEG Technologist (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Board eligibility to take Registered EEG Technologist (within 1 year of hire)
