Job Summary
Neurodiagnostic Technologist I performs prescribed EEG and Evoked Potential studies, calibrates EEG machines, applies electrodes using the International 10/20 System, and ensures artifact-free recordings. Responsibilities include obtaining patient information, maintaining equipment, recording EEGs, preparing data for upload/archiving, and communicating with supervisory staff. Requires knowledge of EEG techniques, patient care across age groups, and the ability to work quickly under pressure. Role involves on-call duties and potential work at Newark and Wilmington locations; shifts include 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with a 4-day work week and alternating on-call nights/weekends. Special requirements include BLS certification and ongoing credentialing with ABRET."
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited Neurodiagnostic Program
- ABRET board eligible, certification required within 1 year
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a patient care environment
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS)
