Job Summary
Perform accurate standard and complex EEG recordings at the bedside and in the laboratory on a routine, emergency, and on-call basis for adolescent, adult, and elderly patients. Prepare patients, monitor neurological activity, manage equipment, and process data for physician review. Maintain and clean equipment and laboratory areas daily, assist with delivering reports and transporting patients, and attend all required in-services while adhering to departmental policies. Assist physicians in diagnosing diseases and disorders of the brain and central nervous system through neurodiagnostic testing.
Required Qualifications
- High School GED or High School Graduate
- Successful completion of an educational program for Neurodiagnostics (EEG) by an accredited program or on the job training
- Five (5) years of experience with two Licensure and Certifications or Six (6) or more years of experience with one Licensure and Certifications
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
- Registered EEG Technologist, upon hire
