Neurodiagnostic (EEG) Lead Tech

Job Summary
Lead daily operations of the electroneurodiagnostic (END) testing area, ensuring compliance with regulatory agency standards and quality protocols. Coordinate shift activities, resources, and staff while overseeing orientation and training. Conduct intraoperative monitoring for stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG) and perform diagnostic EEG, EMG, MEG, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation procedures. Troubleshoot EEG software, maintain equipment and supplies, and manage logs for statistical and accounting reports. Identify artifacts, edit results, and forward findings to attending physicians. Maintain constant alertness, assist in quality assurance and infection control, and support hiring and staff evaluation efforts. Works under limited supervision with oversight on complex assignments.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
- Three years' experience in electroneurodiagnostic procedures
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Certification for Magnetoencephalography Technologist (CMEG) - ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation
- Certification for Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) - ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation
- Certified in Long Term Monitoring (CLTM) - American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET)
- Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. EEG T.) - ABRET Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation
- Registered Nerve Conduction Study Technologist (R.NCS.T.) - American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET)
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)
- Constant standing and walking
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication
- Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs
- Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry
- Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors
- Occasional bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements
- Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs
- Occasional lifting/moving patients
- Occasional use of smell to detect/recognize odors
- Occasional driving
