Job Summary
Neurocritical Care Physician needed at a Level I Trauma and Primary Stroke Center in Phoenix for a role dedicated 100% to Neurocritical Care with 50% focus on Stroke via InTouch Telemedicine and nurse practitioner assistance; no general neurology responsibilities. The position offers a balanced work-life schedule, 26 weeks of vacation annually, access to remote imaging and remote EEG, and Epic EMR remote note-writing. No outpatient clinic duties. Opportunity to acquire skills in ventriculostomies, TCDs, and invasive intracranial monitoring. Secure salaried position with a productivity bonus and potential for partnership after 3 years. Light Stroke call with an average of 2 stroke alert activations per call (about 8 stroke calls every 4 weeks). Requirements include MD/DO, board-certified or eligible in Neurocritical Care, completion of neurology residency and accredited Neurocritical Care fellowship, comfort with ICU procedures, and EEG interpretation.
Required Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Neurocritical Care
- Completion of a neurology residency and an accredited fellowship in Neurocritical Care
- Comfort with standard ICU procedures
- Proficiency in EEG interpretation
