Job Summary
Build rapport with regional teams, cross-functional partners, and external contacts including healthcare providers and office staff. Provide product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing to current and potential customers while consulting with physicians, nurses, and medical office staff for product education. Strategically manage key account relationships by tailoring solutions to unique needs and leveraging industry insights to drive differentiation and achieve sales targets. Regularly review and analyze sales data to create effective territory plans and utilize promotional budget funds. Maintain a call average as outlined in the sales plan, focusing on face-to-face interactions with top target customers. Proactively solve issues using traditional and nontraditional techniques to improve performance in the geographical assignment and region. Adhere to all Teva compliance policies and guidelines while achieving all sales performance goals and completing administrative duties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid US driver's license
- acceptable driving record
- Must be able to successfully pass background, motor, and drug screening
- Documented business-to-business sales experience
- Pharmaceutical sales experience
- Minimum 1 year experience (Senior Sales Specialist level)
- Minimum 7 years experience (Executive Sales Specialist level)
- Regular travel
- air travel
- weekend or overnight travel
- Ideal candidates will be based in or near Rochester, NY, Batavia, NY or Canandaigua, NY
Desired Qualifications
- preferably in related field
- Preferred experience managing complex healthcare accounts and engaging multiple stakeholders within Centers of Excellence, large academic medical centers, integrated health systems, and multidisciplinary specialty practices
- Preferred experience collaborating with specialty pharmacies, patient support programs, reimbursement partners, and access stakeholders to support patient initiation, adherence, and continuity of therapy
- Experience in neurology, psychiatry, pediatric, rare disease, specialty therapeutics, or other complex disease states
- New product launch experience
- particularly within specialty pharmaceutical or complex disease state markets
- Knowledge of reimbursement, managed care, or marketing
- Broad therapeutic area experience
