Job Summary
Build rapport with regional team members, cross-functional partners, and healthcare providers to maximize sales growth and profitability within a defined territory. Provide product demonstrations, physician detailing, and in-servicing while consulting with medical staff to promote products and educate patients. Strategically manage key accounts by tailoring solutions to unique needs and leveraging industry insights to drive product differentiation. Regularly analyze sales data to create effective territory plans and utilize promotional budget funds, maintaining a call average as outlined in the sales plan. Proactively work with cross-functional teams to integrate diverse expertise, ensuring cohesive execution of sales strategies and achieving shared objectives. Adhere to all compliance policies and guidelines while taking calculated risks to solve issues creatively and improve performance in the geographical assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid US driver's license
- acceptable driving record
- Must be able to successfully pass background, motor, and drug screening
- Documented business-to-business sales experience
- Proven record of accomplishments in this specific market toward meeting established objectives
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills
- Ability to interact with HCPs in both face-to-face and virtual environments, and be proficient with technology
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
- Regular travel, which may include air travel and weekend or overnight travel
- Must be based in or near Houston, Bellaire, or Pearland, TX
Desired Qualifications
- pharmaceutical sales experience
- experience managing complex healthcare accounts and engaging multiple stakeholders within Centers of Excellence, large academic medical centers, integrated health systems, and multidisciplinary specialty practices
- collaborating with specialty pharmacies, patient support programs, reimbursement partners, and access stakeholders to support patient initiation, adherence, and continuity of therapy
- Experience in neurology, psychiatry, pediatric, rare disease, specialty therapeutics, or other complex disease states
- New product launch experience, particularly within specialty pharmaceutical or complex disease state markets
- Knowledge of reimbursement, managed care, or marketing
